Though Salman has been approached once again to play the lead role, he walked out of the film due to professional commitments. Sanjay Leela Bhansali left with no option had to keep the script on hold as he was left with no other option to play the lead roles.

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone’s stupendous performances along with Bhansali’s poetic narration made the movie end up as a blockbuster. Bhansali has been completely impressed with the performances of the lead actors. He casted Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone to play the lead roles in his magnum opus Bajirao Mastani.
BajiraoMastani has been made on a budget of Rs 210 crores and Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, and Priyanka Chopra played the lead roles in the film. The movie has been shot completely in Pune and Gujarat in hugely erected sets.
Ranveer Singh played Peshwa Bajirao in the film and Deepika Padukone played Mastani in the movie. Priyanka Chopra has been finalized to play Kashibhai in the film and Sanjay Leela Bhansali produced the movie on his own banner Bhansali Productions banner.

The movie collected Rs 46.77 crores in its first weekend and the movie maintained strength even during the weekdays. The film collected Rs 177.35 crores in 24 days of its box-office run and the movie minted Rs 0.85 crores on its 25th day.
Bajirao Mastani collected Rs 178.20 crores in 25 days of its domestic run and the movie has been declared as a blockbuster all over. Bhansali Productions along with Eros International produced the movie and Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone’s performances have been well praised all over.
