Better Call Saul Season 2 Episode 10 Review: After a flashback to the day Jimmy and Chuck’s mother died, the episode picks up right where it left off in the last episode, with Jimmy watching Chuck collapsing in the copy store. Jimmy rushes Chuck to the hospital where Chuck goes into a catatonic state. (check: Gotham S2E18 review.)
Jimmy stays with him until he recovers. After his recovery, they part ways. Jimmy makes his TV debut and is immediately surrounded by clients. He rushes to meet Chuck when he comes to know that Chuck is retiring to confront him over it. Chuck tricks Jimmy into confessing everything on a tape.

Still operating in his separate space, Mike finally makes himself understand that stopping Hector Salamanca is going to require bullets. But before he can pull the trigger, he’s distracted by the sound of his car horn, on which is a note saying “Don’t”. Who did this? We still don’t know. It actually may be an easter egg to “Breaking Bad”. We can assume this when we see Gus Fring in a vehicle.
In the last week, many would have predicted that Kim would find Jimmy’s TV commercial to be a real turn-off, but instead, she loves it. The commercial did the job, representing Jimmy to his very best. Jimmy is finally content, with his lady love, and finally operating the legal practice he’s always wanted to run. But he is poised to lose it all, thanks to Chuck.
The flashback we saw at the beginning of the episode, is deeper than we thought. Both Jimmy and Chuck sitting by their dying mother. Jimmy was trying to be a good and caring brother while Chuck misunderstands him. Chuck’s hate for Jimmy is even more cemented when their mother calls out Jimmy with her last breath. This flashback indicated that much the brothers misunderstand each other.
A question no one wants to ask here is if this episode was the last one for the series. We got the cliffhangers left for the two major storylines in this episode. Sure, the audience could extrapolate plenty about how “Saul” eventually leads to “Breaking Bad,” but watching this episode without knowing that season 3 has not yet been announced makes it all different.
Fortunately, we can look forward to at least another ten episodes. Undoubtedly, this series is one of the best among the ones being aired nowadays. We do hope for more.
