After the debacle of NBK Lion, Balakrishna has taken some gap and he listened to a script narrated by Sriwass. The movie is said to be a mass entertainer and the movie has been aimed for Sankranthi release right from the day the script has been finalized.

The film has been shot exclusively in Hyderabad, New Delhi, Haryana, and Europe. Anjali and Sonal Chauhan played the female leads in the movie. Balakrishna has been shown in a stylish and never seen avatar and the character of Dictator is said to be the major highlight of the film.

Dictator managed to collect decent money and the movie has been made on a budget of Rs 26 crores. The distributors have been ended up in huge profits by the end of first week. The movie reached the break even in its first week in all the areas of its release.
Balakrishna has been quite excited and happy with the response of the film and he even visited selected theaters after the movie has been declared as a hit. The flick marks his 99th film as an actor and he is busy finalizing his 100th film which will be announced soon.
