Airlift Trailer: The official trailer of Airlift starring Akshay Kumar and Nimrat Kaur in lead roles has been released worldwide. The film is based on the story of true events. It was the largest human evacuation of Indians who used to live in Kuwait during the Gulf War in the 1990s. (watch: bigg boss 9 day 83.)
As seen in the theatrical trailer, Akshay Kumar as Ranjeet Katiyal making a call to the Indian Ministry of External Affairs. Ranjeet is a powerful businessman based in Kuwait. While on the call, he discusses the situation of the Indians living in Kuwait and asks for the help as much as they can.

But, no surprise, instead of urgent help, he experienced the politics and bureaucracy of the two n ations. An Iraqi Major threatens Ranjeet to leave the country at the earliest and stop doing social service else his family would get into trouble and he will get stuck into major problems.
However, Ranjeet risks his and the life of his family to do the right thing. So, instead fo flowing away, he leads the heroic mission of evacuating Indians during the time when Iraqi invaded Kuwait in the 90s.
