AK is gearing up with his next movie which has been titled as Airlift and the movie has been slated for release on January 22nd all over. Raja Krishna Menon directed the film which is about the biggest ever human evacuation in the world in Kuwait during the Iraq and Kuwait war. Akshay, Nimrat Kaur, and Feryna Wazheir played the lead roles in the film which has been trending all over after the release of the theatrical trailer.
The movie has been produced by Nikhil Advani, Monisha Advani, Aruna Bhatia, Madhu G. Bhojwani, Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar and Vikram Malhotra on Abundantia Entertainment, Cape of Good Films, Emmay Entertainment, Hari Om Entertainment and T-Series.
He is currently shooting for his upcoming movie Housefull 3 which is being directed by Sajid – Farhad. Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Ritesh Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri and Lisa Haydon are playing the lead roles in the film which has been slated for release on June 3
Akshay will then shoot for his next movie Rustom which will be directed by Neeraj Pandey who earlier directed Baby and Special 26. The movie is said to be a thriller which will release during this year end.
As per the latest news, the actor signed a new film which is said to be the remake of Tamil blockbuster Kaththi. AR Murugadoss directed the film and Vijay, Samantha played the lead roles in Kaththi which is about the problems faced by farmers. The movie is currently under pre-production and Jagan, an associate of Murugadoss will direct the film.
