Priyanka Chopra has been showcased as Kashibhai in the movie and it released in over 6000 screens across the world which is highest for any Indian film. Bhansali produced the film on Bhansali Entertainments in association with Eros International.

Bajirao Mastani received decent response though it could not open loud all over. With Shahrukh Khan’s Dilwale in the race on the same day, The movie ended up in the second position and collected Rs 46.77 crores in its opening weekend. The movie managed to mint decent money on weekdays and Shahrukh’s Dilwale failed to impress the audience.

The film had a stupendous run all over and is still collecting money after making it into their fifth week. Bajirao Mastani collected Rs 184.76 crores in 32 days and the movie made up Rs 185.75 crores in 34 days of its run. Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone received a stupendous response for their performance and screen presence in the film.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali has been well praised for his flawless direction throughout the film.
