Pleased with their performances, Bhansali wanted Ranveer Singh and DeepikaPadukone to play the lead roles in his magnum opus BajiraoMastani.
The movie has been made on a budget of Rs 210 crores and it has been shot for over two years. Ranveer Singh played PeshwaBajirao in the movie and DeepikaPadukone played Mastani in the movie. Priyanka Chopra played Kashibhai in the movie which released in over 6000 screens across the world.
Bajirao Mastani opened to mixed reviews on day one and the occupancy has been 50% on its first day. The movie collected Rs 12.80 crores on its first day and the movie had a huge growth on its second day collecting Rs 15.52 crores. BajiraoMastani collected Rs 18.45 crores on its third day and the first weekend collection of the film among the domestic circles has been Rs 46.77 crores.

BajiraoMastani maintained the stability on its first Monday by collecting Rs 10.25 crores and on Tuesday the movie collected Rs 9.40 crores. Bajirao Mastani collected Rs 66.42 crores in the first five days which has been decent.
On its sixth day the movie collected Rs 8 crores making the total Rs 74.42 crores in 6 days of its box-office run. BajiraoMastani has been produced by Bhansali Productions and Eros International.
