Bran Stark and Balon Greyjoy have been away from the series from last one and two seasons respectively. The head of House Greyjoy hasn’t much to do onscreen, but Balon survived longer what others had thought. The season 6 of Game of Thrones will have some major storylines from the novel “A Clash of Kings” and George RR Martin’s. (check: Once Upon A Time S5E20.)
HBO has released photos for this coming Sunday. Yara Greyjoy will appear after two seasons. She was last seen when she tried to rescue her brother (Theon Greyjoy) from the Dreadfort, but the plan got failed. The Greyjoys will be featured particularly on this season. However, the debut of Euron Greyjoy is not clear yet. (see: Quantico S1E20.)
The return of Bran is highly expected. He has begun training his various mystical abilities after finding the three-eyed-raven (Max Von Sydow). He has been featured very briefly in the promo. Meera Reed is sure to return, but Hodor hasn’t been seen yet in any photo or videos. (also: The Punisher TV series.)

“Bran (Isaac Hempstead Wright) trains with the Three-Eyed Raven. In King’s Landing, Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) advises Tommen (Dean-Charles Chapman). Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) demands good news, but has to make his own. At Castle Black, the Night’s Watch stands behind Thorne (Owen Teale). Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon) proposes a plan, and Balon Greyjoy (Patrick Malahide) entertains other proposals.”
Ramsay Bolton is still in search for Sansa Stark. It is anticipated that she has left for the Castle Black to meet Jon Snow. Harald Karstark will be seen assisting Boltons in the Winterfell as he may be thinking to take revenge for his father’s death who was killed by Robb Stark.
Though Brienne rescued Sansa, now she needs to plan her next move. Brienne told Sansa that she did found Arya Stark, but Arya disappeared after the fight with the Hound in GOT4.

In the trailer, Jaime is seen threatening the High Sparrow. It may be because the Sparrows are still a thorn for the Lannisters. Cersei still appears to be uncooperative with Ser Strong in the preview.
On one hand, Tyrion steps ahead and tried to bring peace in Meereen while on the other hand, he starts getting closer to one of Daenerys’ dragons. Adding to all, the storyline of the Castle Black will be a crucial one. However, the fate of Jon Snow remains unknown.
