The movie caught attention during the shoot as the makers have been extensively promoting the film.

Umesh Ghadge came up with an engaging script which impressed Ekta Kapoor and Shoba Kapoor who are in plans for a sex comedy. Though they planned the film initially with Ram Gopal Varma, the film has been shelved due to professional differences. Then came Umesh Ghadge with a script and the movie has been titled as KKHH 3.

The movie is the first Indian p*rn comedy which is the first of this genre. Tushar Kapoor, Aftab Shivdasani, Mandana Karimi, Krishna Abhishek, Gizele Thakral, Claudia Ciesla and Darshan Jariwala played the lead roles in the film which has been made on a decent budget of Rs 25 crores. The film has been shot in exclusive locations of Goa and Bangkok which are said to be the major highlights of the film.

The first look poster of KKHH3 created a huge sensation all over. The theatrical trailer has taken the social networkings by storm and the youth has gone gaga with the trailer of the film. KKHH 3 is one of the most awaited films in the recent times and the makers have started unique publicity for the film all over a month before its release.

The movie received tough times from the members of the censor board and the film received 150 cuts on the whole and it has been awarded clean A certificate. The film competed with Akshay Kumar’s Airlift which released all over on January 22nd all over. The movie  released in over 1200 screens across the world.

The flick opened to decent openings and the movie collected Rs 8.15 crores on its first day. The movie received mixed reviews all over and the film has been trashed all over by the critics. The flick collected Rs 5.50 crores on its day two and the movie dipped down badly.

After this, the movie managed momentum on its third day by collecting Rs 6.50 crores by making the weekend total reach Rs 20.15 crores. The talkie made Rs 2.8 crores on its first weekday and the film collected Rs 22.95 crores in four days of its boxoffice run. It has been declared as a flop at the box-office.
