Koratala Siva directed the movie which ended as the second highest grosser in Tollywood after Baahubali: The Beginning directed by SS Rajamouli. Srimanthudu is the highest grosser among Mahesh’s films. Shruti Haasan played the female lead and Mythri Movie Makers produced the film.

He is currently shooting for his next movie titled Brahmotsavam in the direction of Srikanth Addala. The movie is said to be a family entertainer which features Samantha, Praneetha, and Kajal in the female leads. Brahmotsavam completed 50% of its shoot and the rest of the shoot will be wrapped up by the first week of March.
Mickey J Mayor is composing the music and Prasad V Potluri is producing the film on PVP Cinema banner. Brahmotsavam will complete all the formalities and will hit the screens on April 29th across the world.
After the release of Baahubali, many neighbouring filmmakers have been showing interest on Telugu movies and the actors. Mahesh has been highly impressed with a script narrated by AR Murugadoss and he has given his nod for the movie.

The movie is said to have a strong social message and will be shot simultaneously in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi languages. Murugadoss is currently busy with the pre-production work of the film that will be wrapped up soon.
Shraddha Kapoor is being considered for the female lead in the movie and the film will be made on a budget of Rs 120 crores. There are many strong rumors that the film has been titled as Enemy. Many leading news channels too published the news about the title.
During a recent media interaction, Mahesh revealed that they have not considered any title for the film and the discussions about the title are in initial stages. The regular shoot of this untitled film is expected to start from April 12th. Harris Jayraj will compose the music and NV Prasad, Tagore Madhu will jointly produce this multilingual movie which will hit the screens during early 2017.
