He is back with his recent movie Srimanthudu which ended as the biggest commercial hit in his career. Mirchi fame Koratala Siva directed Srimanthudu which is high on a social message of village adoption. SruthiHaasan played the female lead in the movie and the chemistry between Mahesh and Sruthi Haasan left the viewers in surprise.
The message of village adoption has reached the audience big time which made the movie the second highest grosser in Tollywood after Baahubali: The Beginning. Mahesh along with many other actors and politicians have adopted villages and are developing them with their own money which proves the impact of Srimanthudu.

Devi Sri Prasad composed the music and Naveen Yerneni, Y Ravi Shankar, CV Mohan produced Srimanthudu on Mythri Movie Makers banner. Mahesh co-produced the movie on G Mahesh BabuEntertainments banner.
After such a huge hit, he is currently shooting for his next film Brahmotsavam in the direction of Sreekanth Addala who is a specialist in directing family oriented films. Samantha, Kajal, and Praneetha are the heroines in the film and Mickey J Mayor is composing the music.
The makers are in plans to release the movie for summer next year and Prasad V Potluri is producing the film on PVP Cinema banner. Brahmotsavam is a family entertainer which is high on family emotions. Mahesh has signed his next movie in the direction of Tamil top director AR Murugadoss.
SrimanthuduMahesh has been quite excited with the script of the film which deals with the problems of the lawyers in today’s life. The movie is currently in pre-production and the regular shoot will start from April next year. The film will be launched officially on January 12th, 2016 and Babu has quoted a whopping remuneration of Rs 25 crores for the film.
The makers are quite comfortable to pay the huge amount as the film will be shot simultaneously in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi languages. Murugadoss is currently busy with the final draft of the script which will be wrapped up by the end of this year. Babu will take a call once again and he will listen to the final draft. Top filmmakers NV Prasad and Tagore Madhu will produce the movie which will hit the screens for Christmas next year.
