MS Dhoni’s Biopic Gets a Release Date: Mahendra Singh Dhoni is one of the greatest cricketers in the history of Indian cricket. He has won World Cup in one-days and T20s for the country during his captaincy. He started his career as a Ranji player and made himself into the National team under huge competition. He was a wicket keeper and a batsman who is known for his helicopter shot.
After Saurav Ganguly, he was the most successful captains of India. He has been the captain of Chennai Super Kings IPL team and he is busy endorsing various International brands which is earning him huge income from all over.
MS Dhoni’s Biopic Gets a Release Date
Bollywood has changed paths towards, adult comedies, erotic thrillers and sports biopics. Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra came up with the life story of athlete Milkha Singh and the movie has been titled as Bhaag Milka Bhaag.
Farhan Akhtar played the lead role as Milka Singh and the movie ended up as a stupendous hit in Bollywood and the audience have been impressed with the narration of the movie. After this Priyanka Chopra surprised everyone as Mary Kom in the direction of Omung Kumar which was a smashing hit all over.
Now the life story of cricketer Dhoni is on cards and the pre-production work of the film is currently on. The movie has been titled as MS Dhoni: The Untold Story and the regular shoot of the film will start soon. Sushant Singh Rajput has been roped in to play the lead role in the film.
Sushant has been making his moves to fit into the shoes of MS. He has been practising for 6 hours a day to look perfect with the cricket bat on screen. Kiara Advani has been roped in to play Dhoni’s wife Sakshi Singh Dhoni. Neeraj Pandey who directed super hit movies like Special 26 and Baby will direct the movie.
As per the latest news, the movie has been made on a budget of Rs 80 crores and Rs 40 crores from budget will be given to MSD for lending his life story. Though Dhoni trashed the news, the makers have confirmed that MS Dhoni charged Rs 40 crores for his biopic. John Abraham, Shreyas Talpade, Ram Charan, Fawad Khan and Kader Khan will be seen in other important roles in MS Dhoni: The Untold Story.
Varun Dhawan and Arjun Kapoor will be seen in cameos in the movie. Amaal Malik is composing the music for MS Dhoni: The Untold Story and the movie is being produced by Fox Star Studios and Inspired Entertainments. MS Dhoni: The UntoldStory will complete all the formalities and will hit the screens on September 2nd 2016.
