Neerja Box Office Collection: Its been 12 days since the release of Neerja Movie on big screens. The movie initially got too much fame and pace but the later with time it seems that it couldn’t compete the Airlift box office collections. Anyhow according to our trends and analytics, we can observe that the movie which was released about a couple of weeks ago, has started going negative when it comes to Box Office Collections.

With fabulous acting of Sonam Kapoor, and the perfect direction; the movie has received a lot of positive reviews from the movie critics. According to the initial reports on Monday the movie has done much better business than the competitors. However a bit of competition was observed from Aligarh movie in the multiplexes.
Getting Tax Free was actually beneficial for Neerja Collection, many states including Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Gujarat and Maharashtra helped the movie to mint a good money even during the second week. After the first week, collections have been somehow going towards the negative trends; but after the govt’s declaration of not charging Entertainment tax, earnings has recovered.
Even during the second weekend the movie has reached a great figure of 11 crore rupees which is most probably the total earnings of many other similar Bollywood movies. Sonam Kapoor’s career has actually got a spark with Neerja collection.

Film earnings grew drastically by 70% on Saturday and collected 7.60 cr nett, during the first weekend. On the second weekend, similar trends were seen where the movie has got a great feedback from the audience.
Almost 70% of retention rate of the total box office earnings during the second week could be seen with Saturday and Sunday collections of 5 and 6.65 crore rupees respectively.On Tuesday according to early reports, Neerja collection was successful in reaching to a figure of 2 crore rupees. Overall it was a great success for the movie producers who tried to make an average budget film with a successful ending.
The film doesn’t get a good opening in the international market, however sustaining with the time average earnings somehow manages it all to keep it on a good scale. The earnings were almost sustainable, since the movie was released under the banner of Fox Star; there are most probable chances that it would also be available in dubbed versions later on.
There was not much work done with the music in the movie, some songs are heart touching; like Gehra Ishq by Shekhar Ravjiani and ‘Maa’. Having a great competition on the box office, neerja collections are 75 crores in 12 days (Worldwide)
