Prison Break Season 5 Episode 1 Release Date, Spoilers, Promo, News, Updates: is expected to air in early 2017 on Fox network. However, the exact release date of PB 5×1 is not revealed by makers yet. The upcoming 9 episodes will continue the story left back in 2009. As of writing this, only a photo and storyline of the first episode is out.
With the Prison Break season 5 first look poster, it is quite clear that along with Michael Scofield someone other is also in danger. In the previous episodes, Scofield had sent a video message for Lincoln and Sara in the event he died. However, we didn’t see him dying actually. It appears that the information was just false. It means that he would return soon.
In the all new season 5 of Prison Break, we will get to watch T-Bag giving some crucial information to Lincoln that suggests his brother is alive. Then, Lincoln and Sara make the team with original escapees – T-Bag, Sucre, and C-Note to help Michael get free from his current situation.

After discovering that Michael is alive, Lincoln puts himself in danger and it follows a crazy car chase. It will be seen in the first episode (S5E1) itself. The showrunner Paul Scheuring let us know why Lincoln falls in the coming danger.
Dominic Purcell who plays Lincoln Burrows said, “Finding out that Michael is alive, put people’s lives in danger as it put their larger secret agenda at risk. They are ready even to kill anybody who gets the information. Lincoln is someone who always gets himself into trouble. But this time around, he is well aware of his actions and its consequences.”
It appears that it is going to be an action-packed season with actions starting from the ep 1 itself.

The son of Michael grew up without him for some years now. He is seen asking her mother, Sara that how his birth father was like. Sara describes Michael as a ‘Storm.’ It sets the pace for the rest of the events. T-Bag finds some evidence of Michael being alive. The potentially dangerous character is highly unreliable. However, he is known for his resourcefulness throughout the series and till now.
Sara doubts T-Bag and doesn’t trust easily that Scofield is still alive. But Lincoln confirmed the news by visiting him in prison. After that, Michael makes the team with some of the prisoners to help him escape. The series teases it as the biggest escape on the show till now.
Paul Adelstein who portrays Agent Kellerman will also be seen in the upcoming season. His character details are not confirmed yet. Showrunners failed to think of a perfect way to move forward a broken character. Thus, Alexander Mahone may not be seen in the further episodes.
Purcell told us the following regarding Michael’s escape from the prison.
“This version [of the series] is more worldly, it’s heavy s**t. The first season was heavy, but this is real heavy s**t, because we’re dealing with ISIS, we’re dealing with ISIL.
“And on top of that as the background, I’m trying to get my brother out of a Yemen prison – one of the worst prisons in the world. So you have all that going on – it’s on another level.”
The latest reports say that Michael has done some bad things while he was disappeared for so long. He seems to have turned into a bad guy. Prison Break season 5 spoilers suggest that Sara Tancredi may be in a relationship as her son asks about his “real father.” Thus, the former lovebirds may not have a romantic reunion.
Also, it is confirmed that Lincoln will also find a love interest. However, it is still unclear if she will be a part of Michael’s escape plan.
The Prison Break season 5 episode 1 release date falls in early 2017. It is a part of Fox’s midseason schedule, and the show will air on Thursdays at 9/8c.
