It appears Hrithik Roshan is fond of doing clashes with big names of Bollywood. Earlier he got unsuccessful in fetching the Independence day after getting a clash with Akshay Kumar’s Rustom.

This year clash between Raees vs Kabil appears to be only loss deal for both the films. Kaabil comes out as the biggest loser being not able to touch the figure of 100 crores in 7 days. Raees features Shahrukh Khan who holds a much strong market in comparison to Hrithik Roshan. Hrithik lost significant fan following being away from big screens. While SRK continues to produce films even if it comes as a failure. Being in touch with fans is the most important thing which helped him in this clash. Kabil collections were beaten by Raees in the worst possible way.

So far Kabil was able to cross the mark of 85 crores while SRK’s film is almost twice of the size. With over 160 crore rupees in a single week, Shahrukh continues to dominate the industry.

On Wednesday, (Which was also the release day for both films) Kaabil collection didn’t arrive with good news for Hrithik Roshan as the clash resulted in almost half of earnings of Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees at box office. Raes earned 20 crores on Wednesday, whereas Kabil was not able to cross the figure of 11 crores.

Thursday was the most important day for both the films to perform at the BO. Kaabil took an expectational growth on the box-office with positive reviews floating in. The overall increase in Kaabil box office touched the mark of 80% (18 crore rupees) whereas Raaes only earned 26 crore rupees on Republic day.

Friday wasn’t expected to be that good for either of the film being a weekday. Kaabil stays closer to the opening day collections with 10 crore rupees earnings. Raees faced a significant downfall in overall BO collections. Raees v Kaabil clash turned out to be worse for Shahrukh Khan from Friday onwards.

Raees 8th Day Collection – Rs. 5.30 cr

Saturday and Sunday were important as anything for both the films. On Saturday, Raees earned a figure of 15.61 crore rupees which was just advanced by 2 crore rupees from the BO earnings of Kabil film. The competition among the masses just begun after the 1st weekend.

Monday didn’t expect to be better for either of the films. Being it the closing of the month and the first weekday after an extended weekend, limited growth observed in many theaters. Kaabil continues to perform strongly on the multiplexes with 8 crore rupees while Raees saw a fringe downfall on overall BO earnings.

The seventh day collection of both the films remains at par level. Limited growth observed during the evening shows. Raees continues to rule Multiplexes and Mass centers as well. Kaabil magic got limited to the multiplexes as single screens started giving preference to Raees (1st week). As of now, both the movies have a period of at least 4 days to perform best at the box office. The market shall be hot in February, and the producers have the best opportunity to mint out the best from it.

The business remains in cold chamber on the 7th day. Both films struggle to touch the mark of 7 crores on Tuesday.

In the overseas market, Shahrukh Khan performed much better than Hrithik Roshan. Kabil was not even able to surpass the BO earnings of Hrithik Roshan’s Mohenjo Daro which is definitely a matter of concern for both father and the son. Collection from the overseas for Raes vs Kaabil clash continues to be of more than 33 crore rupees which Hrithik couldn’t compete shortly. Strong support for SRK film was seen from UAE-GCC countries making it stronger than ever.

Going through the trends, it seems impossible for any other Bollywood star to compete Shahrukh on big screens when it comes to overseas. With the decent following in Gulf countries and USA, the actor’s fame encashed him 55 crores as first week earnings.
