It has been one of the most awaited Telugu films of this year. It has been in the production stage since 2013. A large amount of VFX words employed in it delayed its release. It has been buzzing since its announcement.
A total of Rs. 80 crore has been utilized in the making of this flick. Its makers have employed lots of brilliant technical works and stars many experienced and good actors likes of Anushka Shetty, Allu Arjun, Rana Daggubati, Vikramjeet Virk, Prakash Raj, Krishnam Raju, Nithya Menen, Baba Sehgal and Catherine Tresa. The premiere of Anushka Shetty’s latest movie took place in international film festival where it garnered positive reviews. Rudhramadevi first show took place at Sri Ramulu 70 MM. At that time, the show got houseful and successfully impressed the viewers.

Counting on the scale of production, release, and promotions then, Rudrama Devi stands at #3 in the list of biggest South Indian movies of this year following “Baahubali”, “Puli”, and “I”.
As per the early trends, the film is able to beat the records created by “Srimanthudu” (Rs. 19 crore) and “Puli” (Rs. 19.55 crore) across the globe on their opening day. It may become the third highest opener of the South cinema this year after Baahubali and I which successfully minted over Rs. 73 crore and Rs. 34.74 crore respectively.
