She spilled oil on the stairs intentionally when she was giving oil massage to Priyal near staircase according to Meera. When Meera came there, she asked to hold Priyal, but Vidya refused to give her the baby reasoning that she was pregnant and that she should not hold the weight.

Vidya did not inform her about the oil spill when she was getting down the stairs. She did not notice too and fell from stairs. When taken to the hospital, the doctor was not able to save her child. So Meera thought that the only culprit behind her child’s death was Vidya only, and she could never forgive her for this sin. (check: Udta Punjab collection.)
Meera told Gopi that Vidya intentionally killed her child by dropping oil on the stairs. Vidya innocently replied that she did not do anything intentionally, it was by mistake the oil spilled. She further said that she could never think of doing that.
Gopi interrogated Meera if she really thought that Vidya could harm her, Vidya was her sister, what would she get killing her own sister’s child. Naiya taunted Gopi that it was Meera who lost her child, and Gopi could not understand her pain. Gopi understood that Naiya wanted both the sisters to fight. Gopi just wanted to reunite both the sisters. Meera kept on yelling and crying.
Meera shouted that she would not spare Vidya for her mistake ever. Gopi tried to convince her that it was just an accident, and it should not poison the relation between the two sisters forever as nothing was done intentionally.
Dharma said to Gopi that he had been explaining all these things to Meera from last five years, but she would not get that. She had just fitted that in her mind that Vidya did all that intentionally. Shravan said to Gopi that Vidya was suffering from her torture just because of the guilt.
He even asked her that we would leave the house if she wanted but she never got agreed for leaving the house. Meera shouted that she would make her suffer each day, and she would ruin her, she would torture her daily and would keep her under her feet so that she could also realize the same pain which Meera got through when she got to know that she lost her child.
Jigar enjoyed breakfast with his family but soon he all started yelling when Dr. Krishna joined them followed by Kokila. Kokila felt bad, so thought to leave the table but Gopi stopped her.
