Shankarabharanam (Sankarabharanam) Review and Rating: Shankarabharanam stands for The Jewel of Shankara. The movie is directed by Uday Nandanavanam and starring Nikhil, Nanditha, Sampath Raj, Anjali

Shankarabharanam Movie Story

Shankarabharanam is the story of Gowtham (Nikhil) who is a rich NRI. Things go cool and Gowtham faces the biggest challenge when his dad (Suman) gets bankrupted because of his partners. His mother (Sitara) owns Shankarabharanam palace which is worth selling to solve all the problems. Gowtham makes his way to Bihar to sell the palace and after reaching there he comes to know that his family is staying there. Overwhelmed with the love, he decides to find alternate sources to collect money. At this time, he gets kidnapped by a number of mafia goons who specialise in the kidnapping. The rest of the movie is how Gowtham solves all the problems facing the goons. Watch Shankarabharanam to know about the rest.

Shankarabharanam Movie Review

The first half of Shankarabharanam has been decent throughout. The movie has entertainment, love and emotions in the right amounts which make the complete first half impressive. The songs have been shot well and the cinematography has been eye catch. The pre-interval episodes have been shot effective which make the movie decent.

The second half of the film makes the much difference as the main plot has been completely kept aside. The comedy takes the major role and with series of comedians taking charge, the audience will be left confused. The pre-climax and the climax episodes failed to impress the audience and the second half of Shankarabharanam ends on a below average note.

Debut in Shankarabharanam Movie

Nikhil takes the film onto his shoulders and Shankarabharanam is his one man show.  He has been perfect in comedy, emotions and love making scenes. Nanditha has been decent throughout and performed well. Sampath Raj and Anjali surprised everyone as mafia goons and they elevate the film well. Sapthagiri and Prudhvi have been hilarious throughout and the other actors have delivered out their best.

Shankarabharanam Review

The story of the movie has been old fashioned and is completely predictable. The screenplay has been weird and the dialogues have been decent. The music and the background score have been good and elevated the film. The cinematography has been eye catchy and the production values have been grand enough. Uday Nandanavanam makes an impressive debut, but he fails to deliver out an impressive second half.

Final Word: Shankarabharanam is a movie that lacks strong content and proper execution. With a number of comedians lined up and comedy thrown, Shankarabharanam will not end up as a savior.
