Shourya Movie Review

Analysis:

The first half of the movie starts on an interesting note with an unexpected twist that really surprise the audience. But it is after one hour they come to know that the first half of the movie offer nothing except the introduced twist. The songs have been the speed breakers of the film and the unwanted episodes kill the complete movie. On the whole, the complete first half disappoints the audience completely.

The second half of Shourya has interesting twirls throughout which makes the audience relax for some time. But the rest of the movie falls flat because of the unwanted episodes and the songs that kill the film completely. The climax has not been shot well and Manoj came out with an outstanding performance throughout the movie. On the whole, except the twists that come at the right time in the film, the second half offers nothing.

Performance:

Manchu Manoj has been completely energetic and electrifying with his performance. Though this is the first time he has been projected in a role like this one, he has come out with a stupendous performance. Regina Cassandra did a decent job with her limited screen presence in the film. Prakash Raj has been completely apt and he has been powerful. All the other actors have been good and suitable in Shourya.

Shourya has an interesting plot to listen but when it comes to narration it is the screenplay which makes the film fall flat. The narration loses grip and so are the dialogues. The music has been below average and so is the background score. The cinematography has been perfect and the production values have been grand and lavish. Dasaradh who has enough hands of experience in direction fails to reveal the film in an engaging way.

Positives:

  • Manoj and Regina
  • Some interesting twists
  • Production values
  • Basic Plot

Negatives:

  • Direction
  • Screenplay and dialogues
  • Music
  • First half

2/5.

Final Word:

The film lacks the gripping narration and interesting presentation of a decent plot having good performers on board. A film that can be ignored.
