Steve Jobs Release Modified by Universal Pictures

The release of Steve Jobs has been modified by the production banner Universal Pictures. As per the latest tweaks, it is scheduled to release only in New York and Los Angeles on the same date, i.e., October 9.

Earlier, it was planned to release it across the whole nation on 9th October. But according to the new adjustments, it will be released to expand in the markets of North America on October 16 and then, it will be release across the country of October 23.

The premiere of the Steve Jobs took place on September 5 in a function organized at the Telluride Film Festival. It will also be premiered at the New York Film Festival which is scheduled to take place on October 3. Directed by Danny Boyle, the biopic is written by Aaron Sorkin after being adapted from the best-selling biography – Steve Jobs – by Walter Isaacson.

The production house Universal Pictures started working on this project in November 2014, less than a week after Sony put the high-profile feature into turnaround. The role of late Jobs is essayed by Michael Fassbender in the upcoming biopic.

The film stars Kate Winslet as the ex-Macintosh marketing chief Joanna Hoffman, Jeff Daniels as former Apple CEO John Sculley, Katherine Waterston as Chrisann Brennan, and Michael Stuhlbarg as Andy Hertzfeld.

The makers have divided this project into three segments – each before one of Apple’s game-changing product launches.

The Warner Bros’ fantasy film ‘Pan’ is the only big release for October 9. On the other hand, October 23 has been booked for several releases including Jem and the Holograms, The Last Witch Hunter, Burnt, Paranormal Activity: the Ghost Dimension, and Rack the kasbah.
