Sultan 10th / 11th Day Collection 10 / 11 Days Sultan 2nd Friday / Saturday Box Office Business and Occupancy Report: Sultan movie of Bollywood actor Salman Khan is creating a great sensation around the world. Famous for his endless fan following, Salman appeared as a boxer named Sultan in the movie. (check: Great Grand Masti Collection.)

The film received applauds from critics and fans as well. After facing a little criticism during the opening days. Salman proved himself as the king of Bollywood by hype figures as box office collections of Sultan film. The movie opened in an around 4352 screens throughout the country along with 100 screens in the overseas market.

With over 5500 screens throughout the world, film records the 2nd biggest opening in the theaters after Bajirao Mastani. The screen count dropped a huge from 2nd week onwards because of not so good response.  The overseas collection is observed going positive since the last weekend, a huge drop in overseas earnings has been found from this week onwards.

Eid’s moon is always lucky for Salman from last 2 years. Last year also Eid fell just a day after the initial release of BB, giving an extra day to the movie to perform well on the screens. The film earned over Rs. 300 crores (Gross) Worldwide in its five-day long opening weekend but the flick collection started to fall after Monday.

On the opening day, Sultan collection opened up with 70% capacity and ran with many houseful shows throughout the day. On a subsequent day, the same trend has been observed because of Eid festival in India. A similar pattern was seen in Bajrangi Bhaijaan, where the film has earned over 27 crores rupees in a single day. Film challenged many outstanding records with such a whopping response.

However, the flick was not able to challenge many records such as Highest opening during ever. Film left behind with 36.54 crore rupees on Day 1 from 44.97 cr nett day one record of ‘Happy New Year’ and 41.75 cr nett of  Salman Khan’s own PRDP.

Although something strange was observed in the overseas collection where the movie collected 3.04 million $ (20.5 cr) on day one in overseas which is fantastic considering mid-week release for any Bollywood film, This was an also a record for the Bollywood talkie.

Not able to his own record in India, Salman Khan successfully fetched the highest ever opening day number in Pakistan with 2.2 cr INR (3.45 cr PKR) and Gulf (1.4 million $) during a single day, the subsequent response from both the regions was positive.

Despite average drops on weekdays, the decline during the first week is not a thing which was expected. The movie was estimated to remain over and above 12 crore rupees on weekdays. Earnings had varied a lot because of getting income tax formalities near too.

Occupancy in the main theaters were 80-100% during the opening day. The occupancy suffered a lot during the second week and could not cross the mark of 20% during the 2nd week despite all the promotion efforts. Salman has although gave a miss to various reality shows he visited during Bajrangi Bhaijaan promotion.

Although the Sunday’s advertising on Kapil Sharma show was positive which resulted in 15.54 crores on Monday.

Despite getting betrayed by the morning shows, the film sees some sort of hope from the night shows where the occupancy touches marks. In the metropolitan cities, several fans are going for double shows to make sure Salman Khan aka Bhai will never look down. Fans also tried trending #SultanOnceAgain on Twitter to promote the film.

Day 3 was good for Sultan collections in Dubai and Muslim Countries. Since it was Eid observed in many countries during Friday, the collections took new heights minting more than 20 crore rupees in total. Domestic collections were low because of weekday and could not cross the benchmark of 31.67 crore rupees.

Although we make every effort to bring you the actual figures, the numbers may vary a little because of time and observation gap.

Sultan collection is relying a lot on the 2nd weekend if the movie runs good during the 2nd weekend and 3rd weekend. Then only there is a chance to cross 600 crore lifetime otherwise the film may need to go down without breaking the record of Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

Kabali of Rajnikant and Rustom are on their way to give competition to the movie in the subsequent month. Saturday and Sunday are very crucial as the month doesn’t have any more holidays in range.
