He has recently wrapped up the shoot of his upcoming movie Tamasha which happened to be one of the most awaited films in the recent times. His close friend and director Imtiaz Ali who delivered a blockbuster film Rockstar with Ranbir directed the film. Top actress Deepika Padukone played the female lead in the movie.

The film completed all the formalities and it released all over in over 3000 screens across the world last Friday. With no movies around, movie occupied 2200 screens in India and the movie released in 800 screens in overseas. The recently released audio and the theatrical trailer raised the heat on the film. The movie has been produced by Sajid Nadiadwala on Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainments along with Eros international. The film has been made on a budget of Rs 70 crores and the movie has been shot exclusively in Corsica, France.
4 Days Tamasha 1st Monday Box OfficeThe flick received mixed reviews at the box-office. The single screens witnessed 70% occupancy and the multiplexes have been packed all over. The flick earned Rs 10.94 crores on its first day which has been decent. The film witnessed huge growth on the second day and it collected Rs 13.17 crores.
Though the mouth talk has been poor, the flick minted huge money in its first weekend. The latest release collected Rs 14.12 crores on Sunday which has been fantastic. On the whole, the movie minted Rs 38.23 crores in its first weekend in the Indian circles.
As per the trade analysts, Tamasha had a super strong weekend in overseas and the movie collected Rs 30 crores among the International circles.
