Though he has been giving the fullest, all his films could not recover the investments which made him low. He has pinned huge hopes and came back with his latest movie Tamasa which has been directed by his close friend and director Imtiaz Ali. Ali directed Rockstar with Ranbir which minted huge money along with critical acclaim.

Ranbir pinned huge hopes on the movie which released last week all over. Ranbir teamed up with Deepika in the movie who happened to be his ex-girlfriend. The movie received a mixed response from the viewers on the first day. However, Tamasha collected Rs 10.94 crores on its opening day which happened to be the highest ever opener for any Ranbir Kapoor’s film.
The movie held well among the multiplexes and it collected decent money over the weekend. The collections have been completely strong on the weekends which made Ranbir feel relaxed. The film collected Rs 38.24 crores in its first weekend which happened to be decent.

But the collections dipped badly on the first Monday and the coming days. The collections have dipped even more on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The movie crossed Rs 50 crore mark by 6 days which was ok. Tamasha collected Rs 53.46 crores in its first week among the domestic circles. The movie had a huge hold on the weekends among the International circles, but the film failed to bring the audience to the plexes on the weekdays.

Trade analysts revealed that the movie has been linked by a tiny section of the audience and it has been declared as a flop. With the second week heading, the film will drop more during the second week after which the complete business will be closed. Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone performed to the core and their performances are the major highlights of the movie.

SajidNadiadwala produced Tamasha on Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainments banner. Ranbir will have to wait for his next release to taste the success.

I am a big fan of Ranbir and Deepika but this film is very boring and don’t understand why Ranbir is doing such films. Imtiyaz has lost with Highway and now with Tamasha. This film is worst than Besharam. Not worth watching in Cinema as I lost my money and time
