ThoongaVanam 4th Day Collection 4 Days Thoonga Vanam Friday Box Office Report: Kamal Haasan’s Thoongavanam had made positive buzz before release. The promotion of the flick had been done in decent quantity which gathered huge audiences to theatres for watching this movie. Two films featuring great star cast hit theaters on 10 November, “Vedhalam” and “Thoongavanam” respectively. (watch: Bigg Boss 9 day 33.)
The first got huge success in Tamil Nadu state but the later overpowered it at international box office. Thoongavanam, featuring Kamal Hassan, was released in 370 screens in TN state and had attracted 70% occupancy on its initial day run. Though the movie got mixed reviews after its release. But the audience loved the emotional aspect of the movie, hence, people headed to cinemas to watch the latest Kamal Hassan starrer. Even the heavy rains could not let the fans say no to the movie, no one cared about getting wet or cold, the good word of mouth helped the movie to successfully collect Rs 9 Crore on the first day. Thereafter, it collected Rs 7.25 Cr on the second Day, a sudden drop because of Diwali celebrations.
It was the fourth day for the movie, and due to religious holidays of Diwali week, the movie did not have to suffer much loss on 4th (and forthcoming) day, as it usually happens with other releases. Salman’s big release “Prem Ratan Dhan Payo” gave “Thoongavanam” a head-to-head competition, despite having a holiday of ‘Bhai Dooj’ in almost all corners of India, the former had seen quite a loss in garnering an expected amount.
As per the sources, Thoongavanam – directed by Rajesh M. Selva, succeeded at outshining another big release from Kollywood – “Vedhalam” at United States BoxOffice by earning $164,027 within 2 days of its screening.

On its 3rd day, the movie suffered because of “Prem Ratan Dhan Payo” and could only collect a reasonable amount of Rs 5 Cr. Well, the figures went down a little bit on its 4th day run at the Box Office. The Thoonga vanam 4 days collections is given below:-
