But Films like ‘Kya Super Kool Hai Hum 3’ or Sunny Leone’s ‘Mastizaade’ are nothing more than a sex comedy. Same happened with GGM; the movie released 2 weeks before the official date after getting leaked on the internet.

Opening GGM Friday Box OfficeWith almost no story, GreatGrandMasti is more a series than a full-fledged film. The movie has various semi-nude scenes with adult comedy. With the development of audience base, sometimes these movies got more than expected response from the public. Great Grand Masti‘s scene was bit different as Sultan collection are giving an open challenge to GGM collections.
Last year was good for adult movies in India, but the same couldn’t be observed. Censor board is also going ‘strict’ for the movies and usually long lists received by the directors after censor screening.
Going to the budget metrics, the production cost of the movie is around 24 crores. With 8 crores spent on advertising and promotions, the total budget of the film is 32 crores. Comparing the other films, GGM was an average budget film. According to reliable sources, we came to know that the movie was released on over more than 1550 screens throughout the India.
Not having much hype in the theaters has does effected the move a lot. Sometimes songs can even save the film, but that case was also not applicable for the GGM Collection.’Masti’ is often recognized as the biggest adult comedy franchise in India, GGM is the second part of the movie released after 2-3 years.
The last version of the film opened with 12 crores collections. The case was not enough good for the second part after getting leaked before the initial release. Not taking much risk by releasing it against Rajnikant’s Kabali, producers released it on the next possible date which was after Sultan’s release.
The week is low but yet a good option for GGM as the film is already suffering a lot because of losses incurred. The movie is expected to meet its costs with the lifetime box office collections.
