India won the toss and chose to bat, Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma opened the innings for India, Dhawan was not able to bat well and was out very cheaply as he scored 9 off 22 balls after which Josh Hazelwood got him out.
After Dhawan got out Kohli came in and then after that Rohit and Virat made a partnership of over 200 with Sharma making his ton and made a total of 171 in 163 balls with 13 fours and seven sixes and Virat Kohli made 91 off 97 balls with nine fours and one six.
