Vikram Kumar directed the film and Samantha, Shriya Saran played the female leads. Nagarjuna himself produced Manam on Annapurna Studios banner. Nagarjuna has been busy with his tv show Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu which was a surprising hit on tv. The tv show has been well received by the audience and the show grabbed the highest TRPs for a tv show in Telugu.

Debutant director Kalyan Krishna Kurasala made his debut as director and the movie has been said to be a village entertainer. Nagarjuna has been showcased in a traditional attire with panche kattu in the film which reminded of the olden days. Nagarjuna played a dual role in the film as Bangarraju and Ram in the film.

Soggade Chinni Nayana opened to packed houses in the released 600 screens and the makers have doubled the screen count when it came to weekdays. The makers have been overwhelmed with the response all over. Nagarjuna has taken enough care on the film.
