Boston Marathon Start Time: There will a number of waves or sessions for different categories starting from the first wave of racers at 8:50 EDT. The first one will be of mobility impaired participants. Men’s push-rim wheelchair will follow them at 9:17 am EDT and women’s push-rim at 9:19 am EDT.
After them, Handcyclers will follow them at 9:22 EDT and then it will be followed by elite women who kick off at 9:32 am EDT. The elite men and wave one starts at 10 am EDT. Then, waves two, three, and four will follow them at every 25 minutes.
Boston Marathon Live Streaming: The conducting authority will have an official live stream full video starting at 9:15 am EDT, which you can watch online for free at watchlive.baa.org. Race Route and Road Closures: The anticipated race will start from the outside of Boston in the suburb of Hopkinton, Massachusetts, and then will follow the Route 135 and will pass through Ashland, Framingham, Natick, Wellesley, Newton and Brookline and then will enter finally in Boston. The finish line is placed on Boylston Street near Copley Square.

If you have reached Boston and wanted to watch the race with your eyes, first of all, go through the list of road closure times. The official authority has revealed that they are expecting about 1 million viewers to be present at the time of marathon on roads. The Massachusetts Emergency Management Department has published a list of tips which has guidelines for spectators on what to carry and what not following the 2013 Boston Marathon bombings.
To watch the event yourself, you should know about some of the best viewing spots for the purpose. One of them is the start line in Hopkinton, Commonwealth Avenue in Newton, Chestnut Hill, and Kenmore Square. You just need to reach there early to get a spot.

Caroline Rotich of Keny and Lelisa Desisa of Ethiopia are looking for a continuous title in 2019 in women’s and men’s category respectively. Key challengers in women’s include Tiki Gelana, Buzunesh Deba, and Tirfi Tsegaye. On the men’s front, Sammy Kitwara, Lemi Berhanu Hayle, and Stephen Chebogut are there.
