In the second test, Pakistan made 378 in the first innings with Misbah-ul-Haq being the pick of the batsmen as he scored 102 runs in 197 balls. England made 234 in reply to Pakistan with Root scoring 88. Pakistan again made 354 to set a heft target for the English players which they failed to chase and lost the match by 178 runs. Wahab Riaz was given the man of the match for his exceptional bowling as he took crucial wickets and helped his side beat England.
In the third and last match of the test series, Pakistan batted first and made 234 in their first innings with Misbah scoring 71 off 160 balls. James Anderson was the pick of the bowlers for England as he took 4 wickets giving away just 17 runs in the 15.1 overs he bowled. England made 306 in reply to Pakistan’s score with Cook, Bell, Taylor, Bairstow and Patel all chipping in with contributions to help their team reach 306.
