But they have performed very well in the league as they are currently fourth in the league with 17 points in the 9 games played, two points below Manchester United and one above Leicester City, they have won three and drawn two from their last five matches in the league.

Overview
West Ham visited Selhurst Park to play against Crystal Palace and won by 1-3. The first goal came in the 22^nd minute as Carl Jenkinson scored, assisted by Victor Moses the former Chelsea player. But Crystal Palace did not give up as they pulled one back as Yohan Cabaye scored in the 25^th

minute. The already yellow carded Dwight Gayle received another booking and was immediately sent off and the home side was reduced to 10 men. Then the game went quite as both teams were unable to score but just as the game was coming towards the end Lanzini scored for WestHam in the 88^th minute and then again Payet scored another in the 94^th minute giving WestHam the 1-3 win. Chelsea hosted Aston Villa at the Stamford Bridge and won comfortably by 2-0. Diego Costa scored the opener in the 34^th minute as Villa’s goalkeeper made a terrible mistake passing the ball wrongly to Lescott who didn’t receive the ball and Willian took advantage of it as he passed the ball to Costa who finished superbly giving his side the 1-0 lead. Chelsea was able to double their lead in the 54^th minute as Alan Hutton scored an own goal with deflections from Costa and Chelsea went 2-0 up and the game finished at that scoreline.
