Te3n Review and Rating: An Average Bollywood Movie

Te3n Review Rating: The latest Bollywood movie Te3n starring Amitabh Bachchan, Nawazudding Siddiqui, Vidya Balan, and Sabyasachi Chakraborty in lead roles is going to release on the silver screen. Directed by Ribhu Dasgupta, it is a suspense thriller. Let’s check out the Te3n movie review (by celebs).

The story of the film revolves around the protagonist John Biswas played by Amitabh Bachchan, a grandfather whose granddaughter gets kidnapped. He didn’t let the culprit go and collects proofs and evidence to nab the person responsible. It has been eight years now when another similar case happens.

The officer in charge for the new case Sarita Sarkar played by Vidya Balan and Father Martin Das portrayed by Nawazuddin, who is a former cop probe both the cases. The rest is the crux of the story. Is the kidnapper same in the both cases? Does John nab the culprit after the wait of 8 years?

Te3n Movie Review: Script Analysis
The film is the Indian adaptation of the Korean flick Montage. Some changes have been made in the plot. It revolves around getting revenge from the kidnapper and redemption for oneself of guilt for committing a crime unintentionally.

The film starts low and slow. One may think that it is little sluggish for a thriller while other may believe that it is a massive build up of what is to come next. Anyhow, the climax was unconvincing.

The script is predictable but palatable to some extent. ‘Kahaani’ directed by Sujoy Ghosh was way better in the thriller niche. The edge of the seat thrill is nowhere in the new flick.

The writers failed to provide an intriguing climax. Also, there isn’t any strong logic behind the whole story. Overall, the storyline appears to be fickle. At a point, it seems to be in the same lane as of Wazir.

For a logic seeking viewer, the script fails and won’t raise his/her heartbeat more than one time.

Te3n Review: Star Performance
Amitabh Bachchan nails his role of a feeble grandfather who dearly loves his granddaughter and doesn’t leave any stone unturned to find his grand child and seek justice. He banged on with this overall performance including body language and silences.

Nawazuddin tried something which he has never done before. He portrays the role of an ex-cop turned Father. One major flaw in his acting has been the failure of bringing in the Catholic touch. Expect it; he never fails in his acting.

Vidya Balan plays a cameo, and there had been not much scope for her to showcase her exceptional skills. However, she has done justice to her role.

Te3n Review: Direction, Music
Ribbu Dasgupta has directed it on the similar lanes of Kolkata where Kahaani and Piku were shot.

In the first half, it is a little bit slow but just before the interval it starts to pick up its pace. The director has included a great variety of lighting in the film.

It is unfortunate to see the bleary oscillation between the past (flashbacks) and present. At some points, it confuses the audience. The screenplay could have been improved.

The technical visual aspects don’t give an excellent viewing as it is mixed with everyday stills. The trams, the bells of the cycle, the quiet and died down alleys of the towns perfectly indicates the same.

But, the soundtrack of Te3n is great. The songs and background score impresses all.

Editing could have improved the film.

Te3n Review: The Last Word
The thriller fails to engage the audience to its climax as it is predictable. It is an average thriller but better than most of the senseless Bollywood films.
