Customers who were ‘betrayed’ by the e-commerce giant for not delivering the handsets are planning to drag Amazon in Supreme for ‘Amazon Fraud.’ Some users even claimed it as one of the biggest scams in India’s history.

Today Morning users got an offer by using a promo code and booking Moto G Turbo edition priced at 12,499 rs for 4,999 rs. However when we asked Amazon for its response, they simply stated it as a technical glitch in a 3rd party promotional offer with no endorsement from the portal.

Was it an intentional mistake?

Can customers go against Amazon.in to customer court

Yes, technically it’s possible to go against Amazon because of Indian Contract Act. However, the offer is not the completion of an offer and just an invitation to offer, but those people who completed payment have completed their part of the contract. Hence, the people completed payment with online the method can go to the court after appealing company.

Otherwise, other people can raise the issue in consumer courts.

Gowtham: But it is not possible to issue the product of Rs.13000.00 at Rs.4000.00
Gowtham: We don’t have the intention to cancel the order.
If the offer has been issued from our side means, the orders will be shipped without cancellation. But this promo code or promotion hasn’t been issued from our side.
So this is the reason that the order has been cancelled.

    • So let me get this straight.
      By definition, “Glitch” is something that was unexpected and occurs by mistake.
      So let’s break it down.
      The promo code was only getting accepted for one product(White colored) . When you enter that promo code, Amazon acknowledges that and notifies that a specific amount has been deducted.
      This is not just a glitch.
      It is their promo code and that’s why they accepted it.
      Use your brain before kissing the corporate ass.
      Customers have paid and fulfilled their part of the deal. It is on amazon if they can’t fulfill their own.

    I am working as a Customer service Speacialist for Amazon, and I can confirm you all that the orders will be cancelled for sure.

    Also the promotion is from the third party not from our side so there is no reason to fight.

    Hope you will understand the concern and in snapdeal if you know the promotion is from there side and this is the reason they have to provide the phone to the customer.

    But not in our website.

    No gift card will be provided as well.

    So, think before you to beg for the gift card as we might block your account and then you will not be able to get any refund or any compensation.
