Apple iOS 9.0.2 Released With Fixes; iOS 9.1 Released For Developers

Apple iOS 9.0.2 has been updated via an over the air software update along with the release of OS X El Captain yesterday. This update is for fixing the bugs that arose in iOS 9.0 launched earlier in September.

The various bugs in iCloud Backup, iMessage activation, Podcasts app, and some other issues with cellular data usages has been fixed. It seems to be that Apple is shifting over fast and smaller updates to fix specific issues present in iOS 9.

On 16th Sept. 2015, iOS 9.0 was released by Apple. It has all new multitasking features for iPad, transit directions in Maps, a feature-packed Notes app, an all-new News app, and many more features and improvements.

Apple was so quick in starting the fixes that it fixed bugs in setup assistance and alarm even before hitting iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus at the stores.

Moreover, today, i.e., October 1 Apple has released iOS 9.1 for developers and public beta testers. Developers will be getting beta 3 very soon, maybe today itself. It will include the changes which are not yet revealed and new emoji characters.

In the first weekend itself, Apple sold around 13 million iPhone 6s and said that more than half of the buyers have updated their phones to iOS 9.

iOS 9.0.2 is a small update. It is about 72 MB in size. Hence, it would be fairly quick to be processed for users.

As per the latest news from 9to5Mac.com, Apple has closed the window for iOS 8.4.1 and 9.0. It means that users will not be able to downgrade their OS version to any of the above.

This may result into disappointment if the users are facing problems in the most recent one.
