Why Galaxy Note 7 but not Galaxy Note 6?
The firm has already given a clarification over this matter of jumping one sequence in the chronological order. The tech giant said that Note7 is going to be a complementary to the current Galaxy S7 and S7 edge smartphones. It will also bring the features of both the devices together.

The second release to avoid naming it Note 6 is to distinguish the new phablet and the latest mobile technology from the company. Moreover, it will make it parallel to the current Galaxy S series phones.
Today, the company is going to launch it in an event titled “7 Galaxy Unpacked.” It will start at 11:00 am EDT (8:30 pm IST) on August 2 in New York City. After that, it will host another event in Rio de Janeiro at noon and in London at 4 pm.
The company has already made all the arrangements to make it available in every corner of the world. The event will also be available to be watched with 360-degree view option and via the Gear VR headsets.

The upcoming smartphone is expected to sport a 5.7 inch Super AMOLED QHD (2560x1440p) dual edge curved, Qualcomm Snapdragon 821quad-core /Exynos 8893 octa-core (depending on market), 4GB/6GB RAM, 64GB inbuilt storage, 12MP primary camera with dual-pixel technology, 5MP front snapper with wide angle field of view and powered with a 3,600mAh battery.
Moreover, it is also said to have Iris scanner and advanced in tech as compared to the fingerprint sensor.
