Online entertainment beast, Netflix has opened its services for the largest market in the world after a long wait. Since India is getting the high-speed internet with fibre optical cables, demand for the online entertainment services has increased. Netflix plans start from as low as 500 rs per month which total around 8$ for a month. Currently the TV Cable and D2H providers are also providing the direct connection to the home at affordable prices, it would be a competitive deal for the company.

Currently, the company is offering the trial service for a month which can be availed for free. The trial is available for all the three listed packages. Most of the English serials which telecast in USA and Canada seems to be telecast in India as of now. There is no news from the company that they will extend it to the Hindi channels setting up the targeted market. According to some sources, some Hindi movies like ‘Bajatey Raho’ have been recently added in the list.

Today’s decision essentially triples the company’s distribution. “Today you are witnessing the birth of a new global internet TV network,” said Hastings. “With this launch, consumers around the world — from Singapore to St. Petersburg, from San Francisco to Sao Paulo — will be able to enjoy TV shows and movies simultaneously — no more waiting. With the help of the internet, we are putting power in consumers’ hands to watch whenever, wherever, and on whatever device.”
