CTET Result 2016 www.ctet.nic.in Cutoff Marks Merit List Scorecard: The Central Board of Secondary (CBSE) is going to declare the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) September 2016 results in the first week of November, the latest information states. Earlier, it was expected to be released by the end of October.

The board couldn’t make it to its previous deadline. Thus, the CTET 2016 result declaration date got postponed. To make the search for results, the direct link will be updated on this page as the results are published. The CTET February exam held this year, its result was declared in April, the next month.

CBSE conducts this examination twice a year. Thus it makes its biannual. It holds in the month of February and September every year. The Central TET is organized to select the eligible candidates for the posts of teachers in various Primary classes, 1st to 5th class and Elementary ones, i.e., 6th to 8th class.

Thus, the candidates need to qualify the national level exam to work as teachers in various government schools across the nation. The examination took place successfully at 851 centers in 91 different cities of India. CBSE listed that more than 6.5 lakh candidates appeared for the same.

The board said it deployed enough number of invigilators to conduct it in a fair and one go. There were more than 3200 officials engaged in it. No case of improper means was reported.

How to check CBSE CTET Result 2016?

The board, as usual, is going to release the result of CTET 2016 online only. Thus, they will have to go online to the official websites. We have listed the easy steps/procedure following which the aspirants can check their results.

  • Click on the link provided here on this page when the result has been announced.
  • After clicking, a page with login will appear. Enter the required/asked details. Then click ‘submit.’
  • After that, the CTET 2016 result for September month will appear.
  • It will show the number of marks obtained overall and in particular subjects.

The aspirants have to score a minimum of 60% in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test will be considered as a passing candidate. It is according to the NCTE notification No. 76-4/2010/NCTE/Acad as dated on 11th February 2011. This means that the candidates have to score 90 or more marks to be called as a qualified one. Only such candidates will receive the CTET certificate.

This certificate will enable the candidates to avail the first preference in the various recruitment process. However, the certificate doesn’t mean that they are hired. It only means to have access for the appointment. The final decision will be of the management and authorities.

The schools are run by local bodies, government or government unaided and aided and provided reservation to the candidates belonging to OBC, SC, ST, or differently abled persons, etc. The reservation policy will depend on and varies from one institution to another.

Note: The certificate will be valid for a term of 7 years from the date of announcing the CTET 2016 result irrespective of the categories.

  • Applicability of Certificate

It will depend on the nature and mode of operation of schools. It will depend on schools belonging to Central Government (NVS, KVS, Central Tibetan Schools, etc. & schools which come under the administration of Union Territories of India. Some of the private schools also accept it.

Moreover, the schools under the administrative control of local bodies and state governments also allow it. You will need to verify it with the respective school.

  • Previous year CTET Result analysis

The first installment of this TET took place in 2011, and around 8 lakh candidates appeared. At that time, only about 9% candidates were able to pass it. Since then, the ctet result hasn’t seen any significant improvement. In 2012 and 2014, less than 1% and 2% aspirants passed it. You can check in detail in the following table.

  • About CTET Result 2016

Central Teacher Eligibility Test consists of two papers every time. In February 2016, it was the 9th edition of the examination. The candidates qualifying the first paper will be able to teach class 1 to 5 in government and private schools. The candidates are qualifying paper 2 will be hired as the teachers for class 6 to 8.
