GATE 2016 Result gate.iisc.ernet.in Cutoff Marks Scorecard: Officially, the 2016 GATE exam results have been declared late night on 18th March. It was earlier notified to be published on March 19. It came out a day before.

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering popularly known as GATE is conducted annually. This year, it held in the month January and February. In 2016, the examination was carried out by Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore.

The GATE exam 2016 took place on 30th and 31st January, and 6th and 7th February this year. Conducted by IISc, it witnessed a total of 818,850 candidates who appeared for it earlier this year. Last year, there were about 804,463 students who appeared.

If you want to check your results, log in to your GOAP. After logging in, you can see, check and download the scorecard as per your wish. However, the scorecards will be made available from March 30 to May 29. Till then, just check the qualifying marks, merit list, and scorecards.

Steps to check GATE 2016 Result

Follow the below-mentioned steps to get the GATE results 2016.

  • Go to the official website www.gate.iisc.ernet.in.
  • Look for the link stating the results.
  • It will ask you to enter some personal details like roll number, etc.
  • Enter and click on Submit button.
  • The results will appear on the next screen.
  • Take a print out of the GATE 2016 scorecard for future use. [mashshare]

Apart from gate.iisc.ernet.in, the students who had appeared for the exam can refer the official website of IISc Bangalore for the same.

The results will define the colleges where you will get admissions to pursue M.Tech programmes. The scorecard and cutoff marks will pave the way for IITs, NITs, CFTIs, and other private and state universities. Moreover, it will also set a parameter for the recruitment process in PSUs. The result will be valid for 3 years.
