The government started a separate board of technical examination named Maharashtra state board of technical education (msbte) in August 1963 . It became independent in Maharashtra in 1999. The main motive or aim of this separate board was to fulfil all the needs of institutions and their respective candidates .

This board designed diploma, post diploma and advance diploma to the institutions .
Total of 19 institutions were affiliated to this board for the year of 2013-14 MSBTE operate through its four regional centres in Mumbai,Pune, Nagpur and Aurangabad.Maharashtra board of technical education conducts examination every year for the candidates in their respective institutes in summer and winter.
This year also MSBTE conducted examination in April and May.The examination was conducted for 18 days .All the candidates took examination on the particular date and timing given by their respective institutes.
About 3 lakh candidates were appeared in this examination .After this examination the candidates were enjoying their holidays .All of a sudden,the candidates found that the MSBTE result 2016 was released yesterday on 9 june.The director of MSBTE ,Abhay wagh released the result .
The candidates were surprised because the date and the timings of the result were not notified and the chances for the result to come earlier were very less. The results amd the marksheet of the candidates were displayed in the main website of MSBTE and the main website was
The procedure to check the mark sheet and the result for each candidate is to first reach the main website of Maharashtra state board of technical education i.e www.msbte.com.Then click on the link of the result .
Then write the details of the candidate like seat no. ,college code ,name,and the details of the candidates or their respective institutes that were asked . Then result or marksheet would be displayed on the screen.
Check the result and also took out the printout of the marksheet . the original marksheet could be collected by the candidates from their respective college after a week or few days .
The candidates who need the mark sheet for the job or admission purpose can take printout of the marksheets . these printouts will be valid for the job or admission purposes.
