RRB NTPC Result 2016: The Railway Recruitment Board has declared the results of the RRB Non-Technical Popular Category (NTPC) examination. It took place from 28th March to 3rd May 2016 at various test centers across India. Around half a million candidates registered for it.

About half of them appeared in the examination and were waiting anxiously for it. The results were postponed many times. They were supposed to be published a while ago. After clearing the first stage, the aspirants will have to appear for the second stage. Moreover, they need to pass through the section wise cut off.

Update: The results have been withdrawn. The official statement available on the official website is as follows: “the result data was temporarily uploaded only to test the updated website. Final result will be uploaded shortly”

It should be noted that cut off marks will differ with the posts. The Railways NTPC expected cut off for Commercial Apprentice for the General (UR) category candidates will be around 91.47 to 83.82. For OBC, it will range from 94.28 to 82.44. For SC, it is expected to be 80.04 to 74.05. For ST aspirants, it is expected to be 80.75 to 80.63.

Coming to the RRB NTPC Results and cut off for Traffic Apprentice (TA), the expected marks should in the range 82.76 to 79.62. For OBC category aspirants, it should lie between 80.04 to 78.85. While for SC and ST, the range of marks should be 73.29 to 73.00 and 78.87 to 72.99 respectively.

We are expecting RRB Allahabad NTPC cutoff marks to be in between 75 to 80 marks. RRB Mumbai NTPC cut off mark 2016 should be in the range of 75-80. For RRB Ajmer and RRB Secunderabad, the NTPC cutoff mark should lie in the range of 75-80 marks. The expected cut off marks for RRB Kolkata nad RRB Ahmedabad would be between 73 to 78 marks. RRB Bhopal, the cut off marks should remain in 75 to 80 marks.

The last notification was published on August 30, and it stated that the updated final answer keys and candidates’ response were to be available on the regional RRBs websites by the end of October 2016. In order to get selected, the candidates will need to secure a good merit position in the 2nd stage CBT and/or Aptitude Test/Typing Skill test result wherever applicable. Normalization of marks would be done during the selection process.

Earlier, it was advised to not to believe the RRB NTPC results release date rumors. However, now they are officially declared on the Indian Railways website.

The selection process of Railway NTPC is completely merit based and subject to the rules and regulations issued by the Ministry of Railways, Government of India. It includes various reservations entitled to jobs for certain castes and communities like Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Communities (OBC), etc. Ex-servicemen are also given the benefit of reservations as per the rules.
