This Commission is an attached office of the Department of Personnel and Training which consists of Chairman, two Members and a Secretary-cum-Controller of Examinations. His post is equivalent to the level of Additional Secretary to the Government of India.
As per all the latest updates and notification released, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is expected to release the results of CHSL (Combined Higher Secondary Level) Examination Results on 22nd July 2016. The CHSL examination was conducted successfully by the commission in the month of November and December.
The candidates who appeared for the examination can check their results from SSC’s official website i.e. www.ssc.nic.in or from other regional websites. The CHSL Examination was conducted by the commission on 15th, 22nd November 2015 and 6th, 20th December 2015 in many of the centers across the country India.

The commission selects the eligible candidate from all the appearing candidates based on an examination conducted by them. This year, the Staff Selection Commission has released a notification for 6578 vacancies in the year 2016.
The SSC Combined Higher Secondary Level jobs includes the following:

2) Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant in various government ministries and departments (3,523 vacancies)
3) Lower Division Clerk (LDC) ( 2,049 vacancies)
4) DEO (1,006 vacancies) and
5) various other posts
This year around 20 lakhs candidates appeared for the CHSLexamination. All of these aspirants had applied for the CHSL jobs for the year 2015-16. The candidates have appeared in the examination and are now waiting for the SSC CHSL Examination results 2016.
All of their waits has now come to an end as the SSC Authority has now announced that the results will be available to download from 22nd July 2016 i.e. today. The Commission is going to publish the results, merit list and cut-off marks for CHSL examination.
The Cut off mark are decided based upon various elements like:
1) Difficulty level of examination
2) Number of participating competitors
3) Annual Intake
4) Marking plan
5) Lowest and normal scores in the principle examination
6) Last year cut off patterns
7) The average performance of the candidates.
The expected cut-off of the CHSL exam for various categories is as follows:
1) General candidates 130 -140
2) OBC candidates 120 – 130
3) SC candidates 110 – 115
4) ST candidates 98 – 105
5) VH candidate 95 – 102
6) OH candidates 97 – 105
7) HH candidates 75 – 85
8) Ex-Serviceman 75 – 85
How to Check SSC CHSL Results, Merit list, Cut off marks 2016
1) Visit the SSC official website i.e. www.ssc.nic.in.
2) It will direct you to the homepage of the website.
3) Search for the ‘CHSL Examination results 2016’ tab.
4) Click on it, and enter all the asked details like registration number, date of birth, etc.,
5) Click on submit button down to the details.
6) SSC CHSL results 2016 will appear on the screen.
7) Check the result, take a print out if needed for future purposes.
Candidates who will clear the CHSL examination with good merit will be called for interview. Finally, candidates who will clear the interview round will be posted in any of the region based on the recruitment.
