UPSC Exam Dates {Main Examinations}: The apex body of A level examinations in India,Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducted the high level examination named as IAS preliminary examination which is the first qualification stage. Candidates eligible on the first stage of Civil services examination in the month of August 2016 will be allocated the seats and eligibility to fight on the subsequent examination which is going to be subjective based exam.

The results for preliminary exams had already been declared and the main examination is scheduled for the end of the year. The main exam will be conducted in the month of December 2016. Candidates who had qualified during the preliminary exams can bid for the main examinations, although there is no compulsion of appearing in 2nd exam. UPSC 2016 Main Examinations – Civil Services Time Table
Civil Services Examination (CSE) is a governing body under UPSC. CSE is responsible to conduct the examinations in prescribed format for the desired candidates of Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Revenue Service (IRS).
The exams are always conducted on the national level, considering more than 29 states of India as one for the nationwide competitive practices. The exam is conducted by the apex body of Union Public Service Commission for recruitment of candidates into the Civil Services of the Government of India.
UPSC 2016 Main ExaminationsUPSC 2016 Main Examinations is considered as one of the toughest in entire India. Considering the longest paper with strict checking guidelines. However, the Preliminary was only a qualifier which had signified the eligibility to get into the phase 1.
The main examinations will include total of nine conventional type papers in comparison to two objective type papers during the preliminary stage. The qualification in conventional examination will lead to an interview and training thereof. The main examination shall constitute a total of nine papers of which two were for qualifying and the other seven will decide the rankings. Total marks awarded with each question may differ between 1-60 marks, depending on the aptitude and the length of answer. Among which answers with minimum 20 to maximum of 600 words can be seen in the paper.
