ABC Fall 2016 Schedule and Trailers: With its schedule and announcement of news shows, ABC has released the trailers for Designated Survivor, drama Conviction, comedy Speechless, Shondaland’s Still Star-Crossed, Jenna Elfman’s Imaginary Mary, Downward Dog, American Housewife, Notorious, and Time after Times. ABC Fall 2016 Schedule and Trailers
Designated Survivor (Wednesdays, 10/9c)
The story revolves around a lower level United States Cabinet member who all of a sudden gets the presidency when all the members above him die due to a catastrophic attack during the State of the Union address.
American Housewife (Tuesdays, 8:30/7:30c)
It is a family comedy series by Katie, a strong willed mother who raises her family in a wealthy town filled with “perfect” wives and their “perfect” offspring.
Conviction (Mondays, 10/9c)
It is the story of Carter Morrison, the daughter of a former US president. Someone blackmails her and forced to take a job as the head of Los Angeles’ Conviction Integrity Unit. Along with her team, she work to find if any wrong person has been convicted of a crime.
Downward Dog (Midseason)
It is the adaptation of the web series with the same name. It is a comedy drama based on a woman named Nan whose devoted dog speaks its mind in confessional-style interviews.
Imaginary Mary (Midseason)
It revolves around a woman who is in her 30s and is bachelorette. Her life takes a new turn when she finds love of her life, a divored father with three kids. This triggers even more upheaval when the slightly unhinged imaginary friend she created as an only child suddenly reappears in her life to help her navigate the transition from single girl to a woman ready for a family.
Notorious (Thursdays, 9/8c)
Based on a true life story of famed criminal defense attorney Mark Geragos and cable news producer Wendy Walker. The series will show a unique and dangerous interplay of criminal law and the media.
Speechless (Wednesdays, 8:30/7:30c)
A family with a special-needs child is good at dealing with the challenges it faces and excellent at creating new ones.
Still Star-Crossed (Midseason)
This drama picks from where Romeo and Juliet left off. Based on the book by Melinda Taub, it focuses on charting the treachery, palace intrigue, and ill fated romances of the Montagues and Capulets in the wake of the young lovers’ tragic fate.
Time After Time (Midseason)
Using the 1979 novel and movie as a starting point, the series chronicles the epic adventures of young H.G. Wells and his Time Machine.
