One such movie which has been making huge noise in Tamil film industry is Amma Kanakku. The film has been directed by Ashwini Iyer Tiwari and the flick doesn’t have a male lead. Amala Paul, Revathi played the lead roles in the film and top director Samuthirakani essayed a crucial role in the movie.

Top Bollywood director and filmmaker Anand L Rai produced the movie along with Dhanush on Colour Yellow Pictures in association with Wunderbar Films. The flick released on June 24th across the world.

This film is a remake of Hindi superhit movie Nil Battey Sannata and the movie has been made on a small budget and is exclusively shot in Chennai.

The movie caught everyone’s attention after the release of the theatrical trailer. The makers promoted the talkie extensively and they have been waiting for a comfortable release date. Ilayaraja composed the music and the audio of the film has been trending all over.

It has been well promoted and the film released with decent occupancy all over. The movie released on June 24th across the world and it received decent response from the audience. The flick opened with 60% occupancy which has been decent for a non-commercial film.

Amma Kanakku collected Rs 2.8 crores on its first day across the country and the response has been decent all over. The makers are expecting some decent figures in its first weekend and with some positive word of mouth, the talkie is expected to collect Rs 10-12 crores in its opening weekend which is quite decent for a small budget film.

The makers are in plans to enter into profit zone right in its first weekend all over. Amala Paul’s performance along with Revathi’s emotional presence is said to be the major highlight of the movie.
