Azhar Official Trailer: First Video Of Emraan Hashmi As ‘Mohammad Azharuddin’ Out

Azhar Trailer: The first official video of the upcoming movie ‘Azhar’ has been released by its makers. It stars Bollywood’s serial kisser Emraan Hashmi as Mohammad Azharuddin along with Prachi Desai, Nargis Fakhri, Huma Qureshi, Lara Dutta, Gautam Gulati (Bigg Boss fame) in important roles. Azhar is another biopic after MS Dhonis. The Emraan starer is a biopic made on the life events of one of the most fruitful and controversial Indian cricket team. On the other hand, the Sushant Singh Rajput is rendered on the life history of Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

Tony D’Souza has directed ‘Azhar’ and featured the major life events of the former captain of the cricket team of India. It highlights his achievements, match fixing controversies, affair, and marriage with Sangeeta Bijlani.

Prachi and Nargis will be seen as Emraan’s first and second wife respectively. Emraan and Prachi have teamed up for the second time; earlier they had worked in Once Upon A Time In Mumbai, which got released in 2010. Gautam Gulati portrays Ravi Shastri, and the flick is to release on May 13.

Ekta Kapoor is its producer who has produced in under Balaji Telefilms’ banner. The film will show the roller-coaster ride and events of Mohammad Azharuddin. Emraan seems to play his role very well as seen in the trailer. While filming, the actor said that the former cricketer was with him during the shoot to help him for the role.

“Azharuddin was by my side during the shoot which helped me to learn him. However, it was complicated and a huge responsibility to play him,” Emraan stated.
