Having a great buzz around the city because Riteish Deshmukh’s extensive marketing schedule, the movie was able to make good. Morning audience got attracted to the film substantially. Having a wide audience base could be the best thing in India. Banjo got a (U/A) certificate from the censor board which was somehow a good part considering the recent events.

Many movies got barred by certification for the young audience which had substantially challenged the terms. This thing is really making bollywood films suffer at its best as piracy also got indirectly promoted because of all this. Banjo 1st day collection got a natural boost during the afternoon shows as the night shows starting getting exponentially good response. Being directed by Ravi Jadhav, some lovers of his earlier works also walked for the film. Night shows in cities like Delhi and Mumbai were almost filled up.
Banjo got good response than any of the other film by Nargis or Ritiesh, the most probable reason was getting good points for direction. Last film of Riteish Deshmukh, Great Grand Masti flopped on box office because of invariably getting rejected by the audience in all the ways. The movie was neither able to score good cards on the critics mindset and rest was done as censor board’s copy of the movie gets leaked.
Banjo 1st day collection stays good on the charts because of the night shows. Increased competition in the bollywood had also made it difficult for a decent film to score good while a movie with big superstar or scheduled holiday release could do it without any kind of hassle. The occupancy reports for the morning shows indicated the fill up going to around 20% in total which was good enough for an unstable ship.

The noon shows observed a kind of goodness as the movie remains stable in scoring the figure of 15-20% occupancy which got increased to 25% during the night shows. The prices of tickets also remained surged which always worked as a good thing for any movie in this world.
Overall, film was good on the box office considering many aspects, the other main thing which had resulted good response was number of screens. Banjo was successful in getting 1500 screens throughout the country which was higher than Amitabh Bachchan’s Pink and many other movies released this year. Along with 1500 screens in the domestic market, movie got another 200 screens overseas.
