Banjo Collection and 4th day box office earnings report: Banjo of Ritiesh Deshmukh and Nargis Fakhri is not doing well on the box office. The film which was expected to open big with all the buzz around had been flopped badly on the box office resulting nothing good for anyone. Even Amitabh Bachchan’s Pink which was released a week ago does better performance with its 2nd weekend collections than of Banjo. Banjo was produced with limited budget but successful in getting 1500 screens around the country which was a great thing. The movie also received plenty of good reviews but somehow audience not preferred Banjo as the weekend watch.
Banjo Collection
The other main reason of this response was being low in numbers. Film faced a lot of backlash for being related to the other movies released during the last decade, somehow fans had related the story of movie with ABCD and other several bollywood movies. Being less innovative in the story part had somehow created big problems. However the movie remains good in Maharashtra.

Maharashtra is the home city of Ritiesh Deshmukh who had done number of Marathi films in his career. The response was equally positive from the state, if we count the response, it was almost equal to many other big bollywood movies. The budget figures are not officially out but according to trade analysts, even the basic production of a film with a bunch of crowd couldn’t cost less than 15 crores in total.
If the talkie has minimum to minimum of 15 crore rupees as budget, it would be hard to get paid off for the basic production cost. The movie had so far earned only 6 crore rupees in its main time and the figures are declining with all the way . Being collecting only 5.92 crores in 3 days when several movies crosses more than 30 crores in a single day could be a matter of shame.
Banjo 1st Weekend Domestic collection – 5.92 crores
Banjo 4th day collection – 90 Lakhs
Banjo total collection – 6.8 crores
As its opening day collection, Fickle earned 01.72 cr rupees from the entire country. Among the 1.72 crore figure, 50% contribution came from state of Maharashtra only, the other good cities for the film includes mainly of metropolitan cities while the single screens keeps on showing AB’s Pink.
