Dilwale 17th Day Collection 17 Days Dilwale 3rd Sunday/Weekend Box Office Business and Occupancy Report: The latest directorial venture of Rohit Shetty starring Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Varun Dhawan, and Kriti Sanon in lead roles released on 18th Dec. 2015 on the occasion of Christmas. It was all good till the release day due to the presence of big star cast and huge promotions. However, from the 2nd day of its release, the movie started fading because of heavy protests, critics reviews, and its competitor. (see: Bajirao Mastani collections.)

Till date, the flick was expected to the best of Rohit Shetty’s work. Moreover, the most speculated and centre of attraction was the SRK-Kajol pair as they are considered to be the most loved onscreen couple. The young stars Varun and Kriti have gained a large fan following in such a small time.

Dilwale 17th Day Collection

Rohit Shetty has made it with his iconic features and antics like romance, action, comedy filled in it setting it to his trademark. However, its dull plot makes it boring at certain parts in it.

By knowing that their one of most loved couple is going to be seen once again, audiences booked the tickets in advance. Its figures went up huge especially for its opening weekend. On the opening day, the film collected Rs. 21 crores which a good figure but not satisfactory seeing such big star cast involved in lead roles. Moreover, it faced the competition from SLB’s Bajirao Mastani as it was released on the same day.

Going by the intolerance issue, the movie faced protests in huge amount across the nation and majorly in Haryana, UP, and Maharashtra due to wrong inference of comments made by Shah Rukh Khan.

Talking about its first week collections then, it collected about Rs. 65.1 crores. After it, it dropped badly in its business. As a result of protests and such other things, the fim slowed down heavily. In the first 10 days, it collected only Rs. 124 cr at the box office.

  • However, the performance of Shahrukh Khan and Kajol as an actor and as a couple in the movie was highly praised by the critics and fans loved them after watching them once again on the screen. The last time, Shahrukh-Kajol pair was seen in My Name Is Khan (2010).

    The film has managed to do excellent work at the overseas and has collected more than Rs. 100 crores from various parts of the world.

    Produced under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment, it is expected that the flick will do a decent collection at the boxoffice as the box office will witness no major release in the first week of 2016.

    The expected collection of Dilwale has been predicted around Rs. 180 crores.
