Shah Rukh Khan starrer FAN faced huge unexpected downfall on Saturday. The movie which was expected to grow by 30% on the weekends, dropped by 10% on an aggregate. This change had saddened the Fans of SRK and yet raised a question on his competency to woo the audience.

SRK had faced different downfalls in his life, but the recent back to back hits have somehow dented the brand King Khan. From Happy New Year to Dilwale, his journey of craze among the fans had taken different twists and turns.
Although the international following of the superstar seems to be unaffected even after the release of movies like Dilwale and Happy New Year. With each successive attempt, his audience is increasing. More than 50% of the earnings from this film is from the overseas market; Similar trends observed with Dilwale.

The opening occupancy on Friday was 55% which reached to 70% in the evening. However on Saturday, the occupancy opened up at 40% and failed to cross the mark of 65%. An excellent response was observed on Sunday too, where the occupancy opened up with the high pace of 45% and reached to 70% in the metro cities.
Sunday business of FAN was around of similar figures from the Friday. With a short decline, FAN Collected 18.43 crores as Sunday collections. The total collections after this change came to 70 Crores Worldwide earnings. The 70 crores is a decent figure but not an impressive one in the game of competition.

Talking about International performance, FAN Collections spotted out doing a great business in Dubai, USA, and Europe.
Among the 3 Khans of Bollywood, Shah Rukh currently stands on number 3 because being supressed by PK and Bajrangi Bhaijaan. It was expected that the flick could also give a significant boost for his upcoming movie Raees but the situation doesn’t seems to be in favor of.
The last blockbuster movie by SRK was Chennai Express, performance of FAN Collections on Sunday matters a lot for the fate of audience trust and bonding.
The talkie was released in 3500 screens in India, whereas it will be in around 1100 theaters from overseas market, some reports signify that the producers are looking to explore markets in dubbed versions of the movie.
Most of the critics and fans have applaud Shah Rukh Khan’s acting and performance in the movie but at the same time, also advised him to be wise about choosing the director from now.
So FAN had impressed the Box Office with over 70 crores collections by the end of first weekend, but failed to create an impression of a blockbuster film.
