Game of Thrones Season 7

Michael Lombardo of HBO announced the news on Thursday that the hit TV show will return with its season 7 next year, i.e., 2017. It is being rumored that the next installment would have a shortened episode order as suggested by David Benioff. However, Michael didn’t address any such talks in his statement.

Benioff and DB Weiss suggested that GoT6 is left with only 13 more episodes which will be stretched to 7th and 8th installment. HBO said that the numbers are not finalized yet, but the topic is in the discussion, and it may be possible that in future the tv series may have shortened seasons.

After its season 4 premiere in 2014, it was renewed for next two seasons – 5 and 6. Now, it has been renewed for 7 and 8. The renewal for next two seasons was in talks in January 2016 according to HBO.

Silicon Valley and Veep have been renewed for 4th and 6th season respectively.
