Gangs of Wasseypur 3 release date: Every country has a special liking towards some kind of films among its citizen to such an extent that it gets cult status. In India, the Gangs of Wasseypur franchise enjoys this position among the India audiences. After 2 parts in the storyline, the next one is set to release next year.
The upcoming sequel will be directed by Anurag Kashyap. Zeishan Qadri, the writer said that Anurag has agreed to work on the sequel very soon. Recently, Hindustan Times reported that the director has the scriptwriter to complete the script as soon as possible so that he can start working on the third installment of the movie.
Qadri has an important role in the making of the film. He had not only written the original story but also acted in the film and essayed the role of Definite. Talking about the originality then, the original film was 5 hours long but no one screens that much longer in India. That’s why it was divided into two parts and then released.
Qadri revealed that the sequel will also contain the real incidents happened in Wasseypur as its prequel did.
However, the last movie of the director, Anurag Kashyap – Bombay Velvet which had a very good star cast including Anushka Sharma, Ranbir Kapoor, and Karan Johar failed badly at the box office. Still, the director has a list of good performers.

Gangs of Wasseypur 3 Release Date
So, the premiere date hasn’t been made official yet. Filmmaker Anurag has asked his friend actor-writer Qadri, after watching his directorial debut ‘Meeruthiya Gangsters’ film, to write and direct the third film in the GoW franchise. Kashyap will only be the producer of the movie this time around.
“It’s not a sequel or a prequel. If I have to give it a term, I’d call it a mid-equal (laughs). It will have the same timeline and setting as the first two films. Which is why we aren’t calling it part 3 but part 1.5. It will tell a parallel story between the two films.”

October 2016: The film started seeing protests against it before it could officially start. The residents of Wasseypur protested against it for defaming the area and not showing the positive side. They said that the filmmaker has only portrayed the area as a hub of crime bustling with gangsters and mafia dons.
Incidentally, Qadri hails from the same area and had urged that film should be taken as a film only. The first two films portrayed the incidents of till 2002. The upcoming installment will show what happened from 2003 to 2015.
